Milling & Sample Preparation

Precise and reproducible grinding and milling are necessary for producing flours representative of industrial milling or simulating full industrial milling on a sample or pilot scale.

KPM Analytics manufactures industrial quality instruments that assist with tempering all types of grain samples, grinding grain into grist or flour that is biochemically comparable to the composition of industrial flours for precise testing of the moisture, composition, functional, and rheological properties.

Our sample preparation devices are in use in laboratories and mills worldwide by wheat breeders, millers, bakers, educators, and grain scientists in the pursuit of safe and high-quality ingredients and baked goods.

Grinder – Grinding & Sifting

Rapid preparation of all types of grain to produce grist or whole grain flour suitable for use in the Hagberg FN test, assessment of the rheological properties of ground wheat, and NIR analysis after grinding.

MR Mixers – Mixing & Tempering

Provides optimal pre-tempering/conditioning of wheat prior to milling and efficient mixing of flours and other powders (additives, etc.).

LabMill – Milling

A floor model laboratory mill, with adjustable settings and patented innovations, used to transform hard or soft wheat into flour comparable to that of industrial mills to anticipate the behaviour of wheat at an industrial mill, evaluate its extraction potential, and the quality of the flour produced.

CD1 – Milling

A benchtop laboratory mill, with fixed settings and 1 kg capacity, designed to transform hard or soft wheat into refined flour comparable to that of industrial mills with a high reproducibility of milling tests and constant flour quality on all CD1 Mills.

EM10 Oven - Dehydration

Determines moisture content of all cereals and powders (flours, semolina & bran) according to approved standards and methods, plus it checks and calibrates other analyzers such as NIR and moisture meters.
