How many calibrations are available for the SpectraStar XT-R?
The SpectraStar XT-R NIR analyzer offers 256 ready-to-use calibrations across 20 product categories, from breakfast cereals and dairy to oilseeds, forage and sugar processing.
What is an NIR calibration?
An NIR (near-infrared) calibration is a chemometric model that converts the near-infrared spectrum of a sample into quantitative results for constituents such as moisture, protein, fat, sugar or fiber, giving lab-quality answers in under a minute without chemicals.
Can I create my own custom calibration?
Yes. The optional UCal 4 calibration software lets you build and validate custom quantitative and qualitative NIR models for any food, agricultural or industrial product, including calibration transfer from other instruments.
What are NIR Calibration Bundles?
Bundles (part numbers beginning APPS-BUND-###) group all calibrations within a product category so you can buy a full application area at once. Individual calibrations can still be purchased separately.
Which sampling accessory do I need?
Each calibration lists the required sampling accessory (for example the US-LGOP-0001 Large Open Cup or the US-ISIH-0307 Ring Cup). Match the accessory to your sample type for accurate results.
