As technology advances, near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy devices used in feed mills are becoming smaller and less costly.

NIR devices can allow for increased frequency of analysis with faster results, all of which can benefit a a feed mill's bottom line, according to Casey Thomson, senior applications engineer at KPM Analytics.
