What You Can Expect In This Job

  • Support and consulting of customers in the assigned sales area and acquisition of new customers
  • Responsibility for the turnover in the sales area
  • Further development of the sales territory as well as initiation and responsibility of corresponding sales activities
  • Analyzing and evaluating the needs of the market in active consulting and sales discussions, pointing out solution approaches and cross-selling based on KPM technologies
  • Conducting product presentations and workshops at customer sites as well as customer and information events in the sales area
  • Preparation of sales forecasts on customer and sales territory level as well as market and customer analyses (customer portfolios, gap analyses, visit preparation and follow-up)
  • Responsibility for quotation management and leading price and contract negotiations until purchase/contract conclusion

What We Expect From You

  • A degree in natural sciences or business administration
  • Professional experience within analytics by means of NIR spectroscopy, photometry, vision inspection or rheology, ideally in the areas of sales, market research and field service activities is an advantage
  • ~or sales experience in a comparable position and knowledge of the market
  • Preference will be given to applicants who already have a personal network in the analytical instrument market
  • We expect a professional approach to existing and potential customers
  • A pronounced willingness to serve, a high degree of initiative, the ability to work in a team and cross-divisional thinking
  • A willingness to travel regionally and nationally (50-70% travel)
  • Experience in the use of MS Office as well as a common CRM system, ideally Sales Force
  • Business-fluent German and good English language skills
