Product Overview

High-Precision NIR for Both High-Moisture and Dry Grains

The Bruins Instruments AgriCheck XL is designed to measure dry whole grains including wheat, durum, barley, corn, soybeans, brown rice, milled rice, rough rice, oats, rye, triticale, sorghum, and others. It also includes a unique sample dish to evaluate high-moisture samples (up to 60%) such as wet grain and green malt, or standard grain samples in small quantities for plant breeding or similar applications. The analyzer is easy to use, and the patented linear monochromator technology is designed for years of use. These tests provide critical quality data for incoming ingredients and ensure your specifications are being met.

How It Works

The AgriCheck XL is an easy-to-use instrument with minimal operator training required. The operator simply selects the product to analyze using the touchscreen and fills the grain into the funnel or top sample dish. Once the analysis is complete, the measurement data is displayed directly on the screen for the user.

Calibrations

AgriCheck calibrations have been developed from years of samples collected from many geographical regions. These calibrations provide reliable measurements out-of-the-box across most sample types.

The AgriCheck calibrations are available for a wide variety of parameters, depending on the product:

  • Moisture
  • Protein
  • Oil
  • Starch
  • Fiber
  • Gluten
  • Zeleny
  • Amylose
  • FFA, and more

Accessories

The AgriCheck XL can include additional options for measuring wet or small sample types as well as test weight and temperature:

  • Sample cups with a path length of 25 mm or a combination of 7/18 mm path lengths. These are used for wet grains, small grains, or small sample sizes.
  • Test Weight – optional accessory to determine the specific weight of the grain. The value is automatically added to the test report.
  • Temperature – optional accessory to measure the temperature of the grain. This value is automatically incorporated into the final test report.
